The Writers' Room Artist in Residence for June will be Joanna Jowett, an artist, writer and producer, based in Leeds.
There will be an open studio and sharing of new work in July, including a reading of new work and screening of film-poems. Whilst on residency, she will also be creating new prints, using cyanotype and found materials (seasonal and local) and writing in response to artwork and invited conversations. Research visits to artists books collections at both the British Library and The National Poetry Library will also inform these new pieces of work.
