Following on from their full-to-the-brim workshop with Eva Gerretsen and WPP’s very own Lu Cunningham in July, Sarah, Ben and Alice of Bleet! once again took over the Writers’ Room in March. They spent this month getting back to their roots; exploring their practice and writing loads, and also producing field recordings for their upcoming radio show with Montez Press.

Bleet! is a DIY arts and publishing organisation founded in sept. 2023 by Alice Harry, Sarah Cohen and Ben Sargent. They met at the Royal College of Art and were drawn together to create Bleet! due to our interest in how art and writing can intersect. At their core is a curiosity in how artists use text - this manifests itself through publishing artist writing and programming live performance. Their publications straddle the line between zine and art object - they offer artists a space to be experimental and to ‘bleet’. Since 2023 they have published 7 zines which are stocked in independent bookstores nationally, with each archived in the National Poetry Library. Bleet’s live events (Lug Hole) bring these words off the page - a cacophony of performance art, live music, poetry, and some madness that exists in between.
