Announcing a two screening events special! ‘PROXIMITY & CONNECTION’

The Writers’ Room are thrilled to also host two film screenings - in conjunction with our current moving image exhibition - bringing together a selection of new and recent films by artists based in the UK, France and Europe more widely.

Times:
Friday 15 November, 18.30 – 20.30
Saturday 16 November, 17.30 – 19.30

Artists:
Friday 15th November – the programme will feature films by: Benedict Drew, Simon Faithful, Jonas Kuck, Melanie Manchot, Miranda Pennell, Sasha Pirker, Ben Rivers & Ben Russell.

Saturday 16th November – the programme will feature films by Vincent Broquaire, Cagla Erdogan, Jenny Feal, le Gentil Garçon, Jeremy Griffaud, Vir Andres Hera, Jisun Lee, Moussa Sarr, Emmanuel Tussore and Ludivine Zambon

Whilst the two screening events are quite different, the featured works speak to the conditions of proximity and connection. These screenings are taking place on Friday 15th November and Saturday 16th November, in the unique eves of the Holy Trinity Church, Cloudesley Square, Islington.

Friday’s screening is programmed by TC McCormack, Saturday’s screening is programmed by Annie Aguettaz. These film screenings are presented in conjunction with the group exhibition DISTANCE, PROXIMITY & CONNECTION, which runs unto the 24th November, in The Writers’ Room and EUCA Annex.

Access: Whilst the show in The Writer’s Room is accessible on street level, the access to the eaves of the church for the screenings special is up a flight of stairs, without lift access.
